Rising country star Parker McCollum always knew where his heart truly belonged, and that place was deep in the heart of Texas.
Born and raised in Conroe, McCollum was surrounded by the ranching lifestyle that shaped his work ethic and ignited his love for country music.
Early on, Parker began playing guitar and writing songs, inspired by Texas legends like Willie Nelson and George Strait.
While Nashville might be the capital of country music, Parker knew Texas was where he felt most at home.
Shift to Nashville: A Journey of Discovery
In 2021, with his career on a fast track, Parker made the decision to move to Nashville, where many country stars build their success.
His time in Music City was filled with opportunities—recording sessions, writing collaborations, and tours—but it also brought with it a longing for something more.
Despite the city’s musical allure, Parker found himself missing the simplicity, open spaces, and slower pace of life back in Texas.
After two years, it became clear: home was calling, and it was time to return.
Finding Home Again in New Braunfels
After making the decision to leave Nashville, Parker and his wife, Hallie Ray Light, moved back to Texas and settled in New Braunfels, a town known for its natural beauty and strong ties to Texas tradition.
