Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons recently fulfilled a promise he had carried with him since childhood.
After being drafted 12th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, Parsons fulfilled his dream of gifting his mother, Sherese, a brand-new home in the Dallas area.
The move is not only a symbol of his success on the field but also a heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices his mother made to support his journey.
A Promise Made and Kept
Leading up to the NFL Draft, Parsons was open about one of his biggest goals: providing for his mother.
During an interview with BroBible, he expressed his desire to get his own house and pay off his mom’s debt.
“I moved a lot when I was younger, and if I could put me and my mother into our own home and have something to call ours, it would be amazing,” Parsons shared.
Growing up, his family had to move frequently, and stability was something he longed to give back to his mother as a sign of gratitude for her unwavering support.
Making Dreams Come True After His NFL Debut
When the Dallas Cowboys selected Parsons as their first-round pick, his dreams quickly became reality.
Shortly after signing his rookie contract, worth over $17 million with $9 million in signing bonuses, Parsons used some of that money to surprise his mother with the home she always deserved.
