Bella Thorne Accuses Mickey Rourke of Disturbing On-Set Misconduct: “So Many Gross Stories”

Hollywood just got hit with another wave of controversy — and this time, it comes from actress and singer Bella Thorne, who has made serious accusations against actor Mickey Rourke.

🎬 “One of the Worst Experiences of My Life” — Bella Speaks Out

On Friday, Bella Thorne took to Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) with a shocking post:
👉 She accused Mickey Rourke of disturbing and humiliating behavior while filming their 2020 thriller, Girl.

“This f*ing dude. GROSS,”** she wrote.
“I had to work with this man in a scene where I’m zip-tied on my knees. He was supposed to use a metal grinder near my knee — instead, he used it on my genitals, over my jeans. Over and over. I had bruises on my pelvic bone.”

Bella described her time on set with Rourke as “one of the all-time worst experiences” of her acting career.

💔 “He Thought It Was Funny to Humiliate Me”

In a follow-up post, Thorne revealed even more disturbing incidents from the same shoot:

  • Rourke revving his engine during a scene to intentionally cover her in dirt

  • Refusing to speak to the director or producers, forcing Bella to enter his trailer alone and beg him to cooperate

  • Making outrageous demands while delaying production for the entire crew

“I didn’t want to do it. I was uncomfortable. But I did what I was asked to do—for the sake of the movie,” Bella wrote.
“Mickey should’ve never put anyone on that set through what he did.”

🎥 The Movie Behind the Controversy: Girl (2020)

In Girl, Bella plays a young woman returning to her hometown to confront her abusive father — only to find out he’s already been murdered.
Rourke plays the town sheriff, a dark and controlling figure… and it now seems, that darkness extended beyond the script.

The film was written and directed by Chad Faust, who also starred in the movie.

📣 Rourke Responds Through a Representative

In a statement shared with Variety, Mickey Rourke denied any intentional misconduct:

“He was not made aware of any such concerns during filming,” the rep stated.
“Mr. Rourke adamantly denies these allegations. He will not be making further public comment at this time, but remains willing to cooperate with any appropriate inquiry.”

The statement closed by affirming that “every performer has the right to feel safe and respected in their work environment.”

🌈 The Accusations Come After Homophobia Scandal on Celebrity Big Brother

Bella’s post comes days after Rourke was officially warned by ITV for making a homophobic comment on Celebrity Big Brother UK, where he is currently starring alongside pop star JoJo Siwa.

During an episode, Rourke said: “I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick,” referring to Siwa.
She immediately responded: “That’s homophobic.”

Rourke later apologized both in a confessional and directly to Siwa, saying:

“I wasn’t being mean. I was just talking smack. If I did say something wrong — I’m sorry.”

🎭 Bella’s Final Words: “I’m Proud of Everyone Else Who Worked On That Movie”

Despite the traumatic experience, Bella chose to honor the rest of the team who worked on Girl:

“Like f** Mickey. That doesn’t erase the incredible work the rest of the crew did. We gave literal blood, sweat, and tears to make that movie happen — and I’m proud of it.”*
