▪ After graduating from Military School of Gendarmerie in Ankara he became a corporaland started his duty in Mardin.▪ In 2000, he became a sergeant and served for one year in Istanbul.▪ Later, he was appointed to the Turkish Gendarmerie sports club in Ankara.▪ In 2001, he started his shooting career and competed for the military national team inTurkey.▪ In 2012, he qualified for the Paris Olympics in the 10m air pistol men’s event and wasa part of the 50m pistol event but did not qualify for the final round.▪ In 2013, he scored 578 and won a gold medal in the European Championships in the25m standard pistol team event and a gold medal in the 25m centre fire pistol teamcompetition in Osijek with his teammates Fatih Kavruk and Murat Kilnç scoring 590points.▪ In 2021, he won a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Team event at the EuropeanChampionships in Osijek with teammates Serdar Demirel and Ismail Keles scoring 16points in the final.▪ He is an avid lover of animals.
▪ In 2024, a picture of him went viral, where he was seen shooting without wearing anysafety gear, barely visible earplugs, and wearing regular spectacles at the SummerOlympics Games in Paris. According to sources, he stated in an interview that heprefers shooting without gears as being lightweight helps him focus more whileshooting.
