Here’s how to maximise your chances of getting Oasis tickets this Saturday News24h

Make it morning glory this Saturday

It is the story that has captivated news outlets for the last week with fans all over the world truly embracing Oasis-fever.

Despite all the rumours, speculations and stories about spoons in milk from the 90s, the one thing fans really care about is getting their hands on tickets.

With this in mind, workers at Ticketmaster will be reinforcing the online fort in preparation for the impending onslaught of crazed Oasis fans all fighting for a prized golden gig ticket.

Now with ticket prices released this afternoon, fans have more of an idea what they will be paying for the privilege of seeing the band back together in person.

As expected, there are a number of different ticketing options with prices ranging from £70 and around £500 for the most premium options.

All prices vary depending on the venue and date but most standard standing tickets in the United Kingdom appear to be at the expected price of £150.

These prices were announced on the Gigs and Tours website with seats going from £73, standing from £150, and premium packages from £215.

Tickets for the gigs at Croke Park start from €86 (£72) plus booking fees.

The ticket sales company has said that admissions will be distributed on a ‘first come, first served’ basis with the simple conclusion being that there will be way too many people wanted tickets, and not enough spaces to accommodate them all.

With the band confirming they will not be doing Glastonbury and with no performances televised, this will be very much the only chance fans will have to see the brothers in action again after 15 years.

With an estimated 40 million people expected to want tickets the digital queue for tickets is going to be massive, so you’d better be aware of what you need to do to beat the rush.

Get set up

First and foremost you need to be ready because speed is key.

Make sure you have an account on Ticketmaster which has been verified, have you card details saved into your browser, make sure you have a stable internet connection and have multiple devices if possible one just one browser opened on each.

With tickets going live in the UK at 9am on Saturday, you’ll want to be ready so make sure you’re on site at least 10 minutes before.

Use refresh wisely

The refresh button can be a useful tool, however if used at the wrong moment can lead to disaster.

The Radio Times suggest that the optimal time to press refresh is 10 seconds before the tickets go live in order to gain access at the most ideal moment.

However, absolutely do not refresh the page once you are in the waiting room or the queue, if you do this you could end up losing all your progress.

Get on early and then patience is the answer, if Sally can wait, so can you.

Extra advice

Be aware of scammers, don’t let the desperation lead you to rash decisions.

If you’re wi-fi isn’t sufficient, switch onto 5G on your phone if you have it, this could well be quicker than your home internet speed.

Finally, make sure you’ve already signed up to the pre-sale ballot in order to maximise your chances of success.

With all this fantastic advice in mind, go forth and be supersonic and hope it’s morning glory come 9am on Saturday.
