Chilling final words after pilot let his children fly plane before it crashed and killed everyone onboard

On March 23, 1994, Aeroflot Flight 593, which was en route from Moscow to Hong Kong, suffered a tragic and preventable crash.

Onboard were Captain Andrew Viktorovich Danilov, First Officer Igor Vasilyevich Piskaryov, and Relief Captain Yaroslav Vladimirovich Kudrinsky.

Shortly before 1 a.m., Kudrinsky permitted his children, Yana, aged 13, and Eldar, aged 15, to enter the cockpit, contravening safety regulations. While seated in the pilot’s position, Eldar inadvertently switched the aircraft from autopilot to manual control by manipulating the control stick. The pilots, unfamiliar with the aircraft’s systems, did not recognize the problem until it was too late.

Despite their urgent efforts to regain control, the aircraft crashed into the Kuznetsk Alatau Mountain range, resulting in the deaths of all 75 individuals on board, including passengers and crew.
