The baby was pronounced dead at the scene on Talbot Road in Notting Hill shortly before 1 PM. Emergency responders, including officers and paramedics, arrived after receiving a report regarding the discovery of the infant’s body.
Authorities are actively working in the vicinity, and investigations are underway to find the baby’s mother. Some officers are stationed at a cordoned-off area that restricts access to All Saints’ Church from Colville Gardens, Powys Square, and Clydesdale Road. A blue police tent has been erected at the site, and two forensic officers were observed approaching it.
Scotland Yard has indicated that the baby’s gender and precise age have yet to be determined. Superintendent Owen Renowden remarked, “This is an incredibly tragic and distressing situation, and our officers are diligently trying to understand the circumstances surrounding this event. Our primary focus at this stage is to locate the baby’s mother, who we believe may have recently given birth.”
