Usher has said he wouldn’t send his own kids to live with Diddy like he did at the age of just 13.

Bizarrely, to give the artist a taste of a rapper’s lifestyle, Usher was sent packing from his hometown of Dallas, Texas, and was sent to New York City to live with Diddy – who was nine years older than him.

While he was just a young up-and-comer, he joined the ‘Puffy Flava Camp’ after L.A. Reid, former CEO of Epic Records, suggested he do so to help him make it in the hip-hop business.

Speaking to Howard Stern back in 2016, Usher recalled: “I lived with Sean Puffy Combs for a year.”

Stern then asked if it the house was ‘filled with chicks and orgys’, but Usher insisted that wasn’t the case.

“Nah, not really,” he said. “I mean, it was curious. I got the chance to see some things.”

“I went there to see the lifestyle. And I saw it. I don’t know if I could indulge and understand really what I was I looking it.”

“It was pretty wild,” Usher added.

When asked if his parents were OK with what he was experiencing, the 45-year-old admitted that they ‘didn’t know nothing about this s**t’.

“You’re a dad now, would you ever send your kid to Puffy Flava Camp?” Stern went on to ask.

“Hell no,” Usher, a father-of-four, replied.

While Usher explained he witnessed ‘very curious things’ happen during his time living there, there is no suggestion that anything inappropriate happened towards Usher because of Diddy.

Footage of the interview has resurfaced online after Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested and charged with racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion – charges of which he has pleaded not guilty.

He was cuffed while in the lobby of the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, New York, on September 16, and has been denied bail on two occasions since then – despite proposing to a $50 million bond in exchange for his release to home detention with GPS monitoring.

The judge however, denied his request as he branded Combs a ‘serious flight risk’ with the ‘money, manpower and tools’ to flee.

His attorney Marc Agnifilo remains adamant that the decision to arrest and charge Combs is ‘unjust’, telling UNILAD his client is ‘not a criminal’ and ‘looks forward to clearing his name in court’.

Diddy, who is yet to have his trial date set, could face 15 years behind bars if found guilty of all the charges he’s facing.

UNILAD has contacted Usher’s representatives for comment.
