MrBeast co-host Ava Kris Tyson breaks silence amid grooming allegations..

She announced she’ll be taking a step back to focus on her mental health

Ava Kris Tyson has taken a step away from MrBeast’s channel and responded to allegations that she’d groomed a minor.

Last month, a video was shared on YouTube that accused Tyson of grooming.

The video claimed that interactions began with the creator when the fan was 13 years old and Tyson was 20.

Their correspondence lasted several years and allegedly included a number of inappropriate conversations.

As reported by Rolling Stone, one piece of ‘evidence’ was a Snapshot conversation in which Tyson allegedly messaged the minor a picture of her face alongside the text ‘Cumming for America.’

Messages openly broadcast on social media also came to light.

Tyson has since taken to Twitter to apologize for ‘any of [her] past behavior or comments if it hurt of offended anyone,’ but insists that she ‘never groomed anyone.’

Her statement reads: “The person who gets brought up in these accusations @LavaGS has vocally supported that they are false.

“Having said that, I humbly apologise to anyone I have hurt with my unacceptable social media posts, past actions, and to those who may feel betrayed by how I used to act online. To lump these two factors together to create a narrative that my behavior extended beyond bad edgy jokes is disgusting and did not happen.

“In past years, I have learned that my old humor is not acceptable. I cannot change who I was, but I can continue to work on myself.”

She then shared that she’d be permanently leaving her role at MrBeast’s channel.

“Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health,” she continued.

“[…] I don’t want these accusations to impact the hundreds of people who work at MrBeast, which is why I have stepped away.”

LavaGS has also taken to Twitter to respond to the allegations made against Tyson, stating that they are ‘not a victim.’

They wrote: “And I am not backpedaling any statements i have already made. Everything I have stated is still very true. Nothing bad happened between me and Kris, people are creating lies around my name.”

“[…] Ava never did anything wrong and just made a few edgy jokes. I was never exploited or taken advantage of. Can you do me a favor and comment on these videos and tell them to stop spreading lies.

“This situation takes away from children who are actively being exploited everyday online. I am not a victim of anything being claimed in these videos or at all.”

YouTube CEO's message for MrBeast as he makes history with 300,000,000 subscribers

YouTube CEO’s message for MrBeast as he makes history with 300,000,000 subscribers

Just over a month after taking the number one spot on YouTube, MrBeast made history.

MrBeast just hit another insane milestone and the YouTube CEO shared his thoughts.

Known for creating out of the box videos like the ‘world’s deadliest obstacle course’ with his celebrity friends and giving out incredible cash prizes, MrBeast is no stranger to being in the news.

After taking the crown from T-Series just last month to become the most subscribed to channel on YouTube, MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) has made history once again.

When he overtook T-Series at the beginning of June 2024, MrBeast was sitting on an impressive 269 million subscribers. But that’s not a nice round number is it? Just over a month later and Donaldson has gained a further 31,000,000 subscribers to secure his spot as the top. The YouTube sensation has officially made history as the first ever creator to reach 300,000,000 subscribers on the platform.

Donaldson took to Twitter on July 10 to share his excitement with fans, posting a picture of the incomprehensible stat and saying: “I remember freaking out when I hit 300 subscribers 11 years ago.. lol.”

Getting even more nostalgic, Donaldson also posted a clip from an old video where he was celebrating reaching 300 subscribers, captioning: “This is my 300 subscriber special video from 11 years ago, so crazy to watch it now.”

We all love a bit of praise from our boss. And I guess in some respect you could consider the CEO of YouTube MrBeast’s boss? Kind of.

Well, Neal Mohan, CEO of the video sharing platform, shared his thoughts on Donaldson’s incredible achievement on July 11. Replying to Donaldson’s original post, Mohan wrote: “@MrBeast, I’d say congrats on 300M subs, but by the time I tweet this you may already be at 400M…”

He’s not wrong.

With X flaring up with commentary on Donaldson’s achievement, one account posted a graph showing how MrBeast has posted one video every 11 days for 10 years.

Crediting this dedication to his success, @kwharrison13 wrote: “Mr Beast has published one video every 11 days for ten years.

“Majority of anything is just doing the thing.”

Donaldson replied to this post with a simple “Yup.”

At the point of writing this article, MrBeast sits about 31,000,000 ahead of T-Series, who now holds the spot of second most-subscribed to channel.

According to Social Blade, MrBeast gained around 21 million subscribers over the last month. If he keeps up that kind of momentum, who knows where he could be in years to come.

The money will go to some lucky subscribers.

MrBeast is well known for creating high quality content of extreme competitions, usually involving outlandish challenges and huge cash prizes.

The YouTuber has the most subscribed channel on the platform with over 300 million followers, and popular videos of his include his reenactment of Netflix’s Squid Game and a competition where the last person to leave a circle wins half a million dollars.

MrBeast – whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson – is constantly raising the bar and upping the ante for how crazy his content gets.

In a particularly hair-raising video, a willing participant took on the ‘world’s deadliest obstacle course’ which saw them take home a life-changing $800,000.

Now, in a recent upload, Donaldson has 50 popular YouTubers battling it out in a series of challenges in a bid to win a million dollars, which will be awarded to one or more of their subscribers.

The prize incredibly sits as a pile of cash in the middle of the studio while they take on tasks including shooting basketball hoops, playing jenga and carving shapes out of cookies, which is a reference to Squid Game.

As the contest gets more intense, the likes of Pokimane, KSI and Sketch get eliminated.

Logan Paul loses his spot in the race after a cooking competition just before the final challenge, where the five final YouTubers have to play a game of bluff with five suitcases – only one containing the prize money.

Spoiler alert, the tense final round results in JaidenAnimations winning the cash.

Chatting to Donaldson after winning the game, Jaiden revealed what she planned to do with the money for her subscribers, saying: “It’s hard for a lot of artists out there. I just… I’d really like to send a lot of them to art school.”

Fans of the video took to the YouTube comment section to share their thoughts, with one user posting: “I didn’t believe Jaiden would make it so far in the game. But I was shocked and very proud at the same time. Great Video!!! Keep the ball rolling Content Creators!!”

A second added: “An interaction between Miranda Cosgrove, IShowSpeed, and Joey Chestnut was the last thing I expected in a MrBeast video.”

A third wrote: “No way Logan had Nick Digiovanni as a partner in a cooking challenge, got a near perfect score, and still managed to get himself eliminated.”

And a fourth joked: “MrBeast in next year : 50 Presidents Fight For nuclear bombs.”

MrBeast reveals he doesn’t make any money from YouTube content despite spending $120,000,000 in one year

YouTuber MrBeast said he’s turned down tens of millions of dollars from some brands because it didn’t feel like ‘a right fit’

The YouTuber – known for his extravagant, high-quality video productions – recently gave an insight into how much money he invests in each video, and how he covers his astronomical costs.

Earlier this year, MrBeast – whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson – claimed the title as the most subscribed channel on YouTube, with over 300 million followers on his page.

He now employs over 200 people and revealed in an interview with fellow YouTuber Jon Youshaei that he dropped around $120 million in just one year on his content, so you might be surprised to find out how much he earns himself.

Shockingly, Donaldson disclosed that he actually doesn’t make anything from his YouTube videos, despite his latest video racking up 117 million views in the last two days.

Discussing his different streams of cash flow, Donaldson said in the interview: “So, we’re talking revenue, obviously not profit because I don’t even know if we’ll make money this year… but for revenue over half of it will be Feastables.”

The line of chocolate bars has been very popular among MrBeast fans, so it’s no surprise that it’s a big earner for Donaldson.

He went on to say that companies have offered him ‘tens of millions of dollars’ to sponsor his content but he refuses if it doesn’t feel like ‘a right fit’.

The YouTuber also revealed that videos tend to cost him around $4 million to produce as he hires warehouses and studios for his large-scale projects.

And he has to rely on sponsorship and brand deals, saying it’s ‘the only way’ he can ‘keep the lights on’.

He said: “The total cost of everything is $4 million to get [each] video out the door and if I don’t have a brand deal on it, I’m not making $4 million in ad revenue.”

He went on to explain why he’s cautious to reveal his costs, saying: “I don’t want to say it because the problem is it always goes up and then the people who hear this will be like, ‘Oh, well Jimmy’s overcharging us, we’re getting screwed,’ but I need more to be able to afford my videos so because my video costs keep going up.”

As to why he chooses to reinvest pretty much every dollar he makes into his YouTube videos rather than taking a profit, he says it’s really an act of incredible self belief.

He told Time Magazine earlier this year: “I’ve reinvested everything to the point of—you could claim—stupidity, just believing that we would succeed. And it’s worked out.”

Ever dedicated to his YouTube career, Donaldson previously revealed job candidates who don’t show enough enthusiasm for a career on the social media platform will be shown the door.

In an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman, he said: “There’s people that will come on and you’ll ask ’em, ‘What do you wanna be doing in five years?’ And instead of saying, ‘Oh, I want to be working on this channel,’ they’ll be like, ‘Oh, I hope to be working on movies,’ or this or that.

“And they see working on a YouTube channel as a launchpad to go into traditional, and it’s like, ‘No, you just don’t get it’.

“This is the end goal. This is your career. And so, I’m just so tired of having those kinds of conversations.”

He went on to say that if a candidate doesn’t answer the question about future work with ‘making content on YouTube’, then he won’t hire them.

“If their answer is anything like movies or traditional stuff like that, it’s just a hell no,” he warned.

MrBeast’s most recent upload was dubbed as his ‘biggest video ever’ which saw 50 YouTubers go head to head for a chance to win $1 million for their subscribers.

The winner, JaidenAnimations, revealed how she planned to spend the cash for her followers, saying: “It’s hard for a lot of artists out there. I’d really like to send a lot of them to art school.”

We’ve seen content creators defy gravity by spending the day flying around in a Zero G plane.

Other channels like MrBeast produce high-quality productions involving competitions with huge cash prizes.

Now one YouTuber has taken things to the next level by breaking into a secret island owned by the richest man on the planet.

Eric Decker documented his journey in the Bahamas on his channel, @Airrack, where he snuck onto different private islands in the area in the hopes of receiving an invite.

Sailing round to different spots, Decker and friends tried their luck with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s island before visiting the private islands of David Copperfield, Tyler Perry and even a secret billionaire before finding themselves on a beach owned by Johnny Depp.

Talking to the camera, Decker describes how his group “actually are the pirates” compared to the role of Jack Sparrow that Depp plays in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Confronted by a security team, Decker is quick thinking when they tell him it’s a private island, replying: “I know I know, I have to go to the bathroom. We were looking for the closest bathroom.”

Incredibly, the security team let Decker and his friends use the facilities before getting back on their boat.

But if that wasn’t bizarre enough, things take another turn when Decker receives a call through a friend.

He adds: “If we thought that today was a success, we were in for something completely out of this world. Finally, after trying to get invited onto islands for the past two days, we got not one but two invitations.”

Not only that but the invite came from the richest man on earth – Bernard Arnault.

According to Forbes, the CEO of LVMH has a wealth of $233 billion, beating the likes of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos to the top spot.

Arnault’s island is so exclusive that Decker was forced to pixelate his video during his time there so as to maintain their privacy.

He goes on to say: “Before we were supposed to leave, one of the most exclusive restaurants on its own private island where reservations cost $222,000 personally invited us to have dinner with their elite guest list.”

The five course meal cost $11,000 and viewers couldn’t believe the experience Decker had.

In the YouTube comment section, one user wrote: “I’m just wondering how this is even possible? You never cease to amaze me.”

A second said: “These islands were insane, keep it up.”

And a third joked: “Airrack is bouta sneak into Taylor Swift’s private jet next…”
