Jennifer Lopez has shared her first social media post since filing for divorce from Ben Affleck.

Over the past couple of months, a handful of sources have spoken to multiple outlets about the superstar couple, alleging that they have been experiencing some difficulties in their marriage.

On May 16, TMZ reported that Affleck had been staying at a home in Brentwood by himself, which was then later reportedly confirmed by sources who spoke to Us Weekly and Entertainment Tonight.

"Jen and Ben are having issues in their marriage," an insider previously told Us Weekly of Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52. "They started having issues a few months ago as Jen had started ramping up work commitments and prepping for her tour."

“Jen is very focused on work,” the source added, revealing that her attention is on her tour. "They are on two completely different pages most of the time."

Around the same time Entertainment Tonight also claimed that while their relationship is "not over yet", they have been spending time apart.

But finally, on August 20, it was confirmed that the 'Jenny from the Block' singer had officially filed for divorce from Affleck after two years of marriage.

According to Page Six, Lopez listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for her split, with a source telling PEOPLE: "She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken...

"The kids are a top priority, as they always have been," the source added.

Since the news was announced, Lopez had shared her first social media post.

Taking to Instagram the Atlas actress reposted a selfie from a fan page to her Instagram Stories on August 23, and it seemingly had a festive twist to it.

Fans noticed a Christmas tree in the background, initially wondering whether it was a look for an upcoming project she was working on.

However, after a bit of digging, it was confirmed that the sultry snap was taken from a December 2020 glam session with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.

Lopez and Affleck's love story comes to an end over two decades after the pair were first engaged in the early 2000s.

It was clearly not meant to be but we wish both parties the best moving forward.
