Tammy Slaton Of The 1000-lb. Sisters Shows 500-Pound Weight Loss Transformation In New Video

Tammy Slaton is celebrating a significant milestone in her weight loss journey. The 1000-Lb. Sisters star recently shared that she has lost an incredible 500 pounds since starting her journey.

In a TikTok video posted on August 17th, Tammy syncs her emotions with Andra Day’s empowering song “Rise Up.” The video features Tammy and six other “weight loss warriors” as they proudly showcase their collective achievements. As each individual’s weight loss is highlighted in the video, letters on the screen track their progress. Together, the group has lost a total of 2,078 pounds, and the video captures a moment where they hold hands and lift each other up in unity.

Tammy, 38, expressed her pride in the video’s caption, writing, “Truly absolutely amazing ladies, and I’m happy to call y’all all my friends. I’m incredibly proud of all of you. You have stunning external features in addition to your inner beauty. Never forget.”

Tammy stars alongside her sister, Amy Slaton Halterman, in the TLC series 1000-Lb. Sisters. Since the show’s debut in January 2020, Tammy has openly discussed her health struggles. After spending 14 months in a weight loss rehabilitation facility and undergoing bariatric surgery in July 2022, Tammy has continued to document her journey on television and social media. In addition to her physical transformation, Tammy has also experienced significant improvements in her mental health. In a February TikTok video, she shared, “I was just bitter, unhappy, and very suicidal depressed before I went to rehab. I’ve personally noticed a lot of improvement in my demeanor toward others and my family. And simply my demeanor and my apparent happiness. I grin a lot more now.”

Tammy has also celebrated other personal achievements during her journey. “I did ride some rides at Disney World,” she shared. “And I took a hot air balloon ride. I used to detest life, but now I value it. I detested every aspect of existence.”

In April, Tammy posted a photo of herself enjoying time in a pool with her friend, psychic medium Haley Michelle. Her candidness in sharing her story has resonated deeply with her fans, who have praised her transformation. One fan commented, “Holy wow! It’s quite the transformation! Seeing how far you have come makes me very happy. I think I shed a few tears.”

Since 2020, viewers of 1000-lb Sisters have followed Tammy’s journey, witnessing her progress both on TV and through social media. After undergoing bariatric surgery in mid-2022, she lost 440 pounds, reaching approximately 285 pounds by December 2023.
