The 29-year-old mother of 3 is possibly in Colorado with a ‘violent’ ex, her parents say.
The daughter of a former Major League Baseball player has gone missing in Austin over the past week along with her car. Her family said they are sifting through leads with Austin police, but she hasn’t been seen for four days.
Brenna Swindell, a 29-year-old single mom of three, has been missing since Thursday, August 22, according to a Facebook post from Missing People in America. Her father, Greg Swindell, who is a former University of Texas at Austin and MLB pitcher, also posted about Brenna missing on Facebook.
He said her phone has been off and she had not been in contact with her friends, family or kids since late Thursday afternoon. Her white Kia Carnival with the plates VFS7528 is missing as well. Greg also said her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry, is “violent” and has a warrant and that Brenna may be with him.
“She is 5’5″ and probably 120 or so pounds. She has brown shoulder-length hair she likes to wear in a high ponytail. She has a sleeve tattoo with flowers on one arm and a spider web on the other shoulder. She tends to always have a vape with her as well,” Greg said in the post describing his daughter.
In updates to the post, Greg said Brenna and her ex were spotted together on Thursday night, and the car drove through a reader on I-25 in Colorado on Friday evening, August 23. He said the missing persons report was filed with the Austin Police Department and that Department of Public Safety officers are also investigating. APD said in a news release that Brenna and Guidry were seen around 10:20 p.m. Thursday at Poodies Hilltop Bar located at 22308 SH-71, Spicewood, TX 78669. Both of their phones have been turned off since. Police also said the car may be in Denver or Colorado Springs.
“PLEASE keep the tips coming of any sightings or information. Again, her boyfriend is in trouble with law from when he assaulted her last month and we don’t know if she went with him willingly, was talked into running away with him, or what. I still feel she would never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation. So until we can prove otherwise, we feel she is in danger,” Greg posted in an update.
